This roster is 5/2 4/3 and a 10-hour day.?

About the role

Provide administrative support to effectively support the day-to-day operations of the department and assist the Planning and Development department to ensure targets or scheduled works are completed within the required timeframe.

Your duties although not limited to will include:

  • Provide administration support of project activities to the planning and development supervisors and management team
  • Arrange and provide administration support for site personnel, new hirers and contractors for accommodation, travel and itineraries
  • Raising Purchase orders, receipting, EOM Accruals and follow up with vendors with any issues
  • Actively participate in regular safety inspections and team safety meetings.
  • Review and load incoming assays, liaise with laboratory on sample quality and control, submission errors and lab errors
  • Update Core shed tracking sheets as needed
  • Be familiar with exploration and resource definition plans and drill schedules
  • Provide document control including maintenance and administration of the document control process, upload compliance reporting
  • Drill tracking and performance tracking of drilling programs with daily updates to reports
  • Manage and maintain filing and maintenance of development files, data files and approved documents
  • Database management and processing
  • Coach, mentor and support contract field assistants to ensure that all are competent and assessed as required.
  • Processing of sample dispatch and pulp returns
  • During quieter periods when drilling operations is wound back, provide assistance in other areas of the Cowal Gold Operations if required and directed
  • Checking of sampling documents for errors before loading to Database (eg. Core recovery and SG’s)
  • Maintain good relationships with lab services

 

About you

Working in a supportive team you will require the following skills and experience to be successful in his role:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a high paced administrative role
  • Current Australian Driver’s License
  • Previous mining or heavy industry experience highly regarded
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and effectively meet deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to process and analyse large amounts of data entry
  • Previous demonstrated experience in a dynamic high pressure administrative role
  • Experience processing and raising purchase orders, reconciliation, receipting tracking, accruals and end of month reporting
  • Attention to detail and time management skills essential
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
  • PRONTO and REDMAP software experience is desirable
  • The ability to work safely at all times
