We have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an Alternate Underground Manager to join our high performing Underground team at our KCGM Operations.
Reporting to the Underground Manager, this is a new layer of Alternate Underground Managers in the organisation structure, where the primary role of the Alternate Underground Manager at the growing KCGM UG mine, is to provide leadership support to the operational and technical teams to safely and effectively execute the mining plan.
The role is offered on an 8/6 roster, 12-hour days, and this position can be either residential in Kalgoorlie as the ‘heart of the goldfields’ with relocation expenses covered, or as a FIFO role ex Perth.

To thrive in this role, you`ll need:
Experience: Demonstrable experience in underground mine management at a minimum Alternate Underground Manager level. Underground production, project and planning experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine. Proven leadership and communication skills with a team of direct reports. Extensive knowledge of the Mining Work Health and Safety Regulations and Act. High level project and cost management skills. Ability to prepare reports and good analytical skills. Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices. Seasoned senior mining engineers with at least 3 years’ experience will be considered.
Qualifications: WA Underground First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency. Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution. Current “C” Class Western Australian Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
