Superintendent: Maintenance Planning – Sunrise Dam Gold Mine

Located in the Laverton region, AngloGold Ashanti Australia’s Sunrise Dam is one of Western Australia’s premier gold mines. This large-scale underground operation employs more than 650 people and produces approximately 300,000 ounces of gold per annum. Operating on an attractive 8/6 fly-in fly-out roster, Sunrise Dam boasts excellent accommodation and facilities.

We are now seeking an experienced Superintendent: Maintenance Planning to join our Maintenance & Engineering team at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.

Accountable to the Manager: Maintenance & Engineering, this role is responsible for the Maintenance Planning and Shutdown Planning functions across the Sunrise Dam site. This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on a FIFO 8/6 4/3 or equivalent roster.

The main tasks of the role include but are not limited to:

• Management of the Planning function for the Processing Plant, Underground and Infrastructure assets at Sunrise Dam
• Leading a team of motivated Planners and Schedulers
• Development and management of an effective Work Management System
• Development of the preventative maintenance strategy program
• Management of Maintenance metrics for the Planning team with a continuous improvement focus
• Planning and contribution to the execution of shutdowns and outages
• Coordination with Engineering and Work Execution teams to ensure effective plan development and execution
• Integration of Project work into maintenance plans
• Development and management of Operational and Capital budgets
• Identification and management of improvement projects

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Strong safety leadership with ability to ingrate safety systems into work planning
• Demonstrated experience in Work Management principles and KPI Management
• Ability to engage and lead a team of experienced Planners and Schedulers
• Experience in implementing Reliability Centred Maintenance principles
• Demonstrated ability in continuous improvement practises
• Strong background in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
• Experience in Budgeting and cost control
• Ability to engage with Mechanical and Electrical teams to plan and execute work effectively
• Ability to work effectively with other departments to achieve business goals
• Current WA Drivers Licence
• Existing an ongoing Permanent Australian Working rights (Mandatory)

SAP and Maintenance Strategy development experience will be highly regarded.
