Emergency Safety Officer
Full Time

Ramelius Resources are currently seeking numerous experienced and self-motivated Emergency Safety Officers for our Vivien, Marda and Tampia Gold Projects located within Western Australia.

Reporting to the Project Manager, key responsibilities of the role are:

• Ensure the Operation is continually working within its relevant legal and statutory obligations;
• Provide Leadership regarding H&S Management;
• Provide Leadership regarding site Emergency Preparedness;
• Assist the Management Team to deliver timely investigations and mitigating actions;
• Maintain the site medical treatment facility;
• Emergency Response Team coordination;
• Assist in the development, delivery and maintenance of training record of onsite training to personnel; and
• Develop written reports as required.

Preferred candidates will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role;
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum);
• Cert III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue;
• Cert IV in Training and Assessing (or equivalent);
• Cert IV in Health Care;
• Incident Investigation qualification;
• Technical and working knowledge of relevant mining and environmental legislation;
• Working knowledge of the DMIRS Safety Regulation System;
• Exposure to both open pit and underground mining methodology;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; and
• An absolute commitment to safety and the environment.
