Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50) located in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. This newly constructed Mine Site boasts a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile in excess of 10 years. Making it one of Australia’s largest and lowest cost gold mining operations.

Role Details

Reporting to Supervisor: Electrical, you shall provide quality and timely preventative electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repairs of the processing facilities and other areas of the operation as required and ensure all work carried out is aligned with Gold Fields and operation-specific quality procedures and statutory regulations.

This role is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and is fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) from Perth. There will also be a requirement to be open to shift work when requested.

Duties of the role:

  • Preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repair of plant equipment;
  • Provide reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge and expertise to minimise down time;
  • Working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures to adhere to when carrying out maintenance tasks;
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping through workshops and wherever work is carried out;
  • Recording all relevant information into Gold Fields CMMS – SAP/AMT as required.

About You

You will have:

  • A WA Electrical Licence;
  • A Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation;
  • Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance of a mineral processing plant, preferably gold;
  • Basic Computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs;
  • A current High Voltage qualification is desirable;
  • A current LV Rescue and CPR certification;
  • Extensive knowledge of process technologies and equipment;
  • A valid drivers licence.
