Role Details
Reporting to the Underground Manager, you will be responsible for full compliance with Gold Fields standards whilst ensuring the delivery of operational targets in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.

This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off roster and is fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) from Perth.

Duties of the role:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the work area to proactively address any adverse safety and production impacts;
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and proficiency in running the different facets of an underground mining operation including understanding and proactively managing the monthly plan;
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures;
  • Actively promote training to ensure competency levels are attained and maintained in all aspects of mobile equipment and plant;
  • Assist in the effective control of production-related costs by optimising the use of allocated resources, mining to plan and reporting any alterations to mining plan;
  • Ensure all contractors on site comply with Gold Fields standards and schedules.

About You
You will have:

  • Proven supervisory and operational experience in an underground mining environment (preferably gold);
  • Possession of an Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency;
  • Valid drivers license;
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Frontline Management or another supervisor training certificate.
