The Opportunity – Integrity Engineer

Northern Star has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an Integrity Engineer to join our Processing Department at our world-class KCGM Operation. This opportunity is offered as residential in the Goldfields.

Integrity engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and engineering input to the planning and execution of the site-wide Integrity Programs at KCGM. Including structural steel refurbishment, corrosion protection, concrete refurbishment, asphalt repair and general Civil and project work.

Requirements
Essential:

  • Minimum of five (5) years practical Civil/Structural engineering experience working in an industrial setting;
  • Bachelor qualification in Civil and/or Structural Engineering;
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills;
  • Demonstrated Projects supervisory experience;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel;
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical, electrical and civil/structural drawings;
  • Sound analytical skills and the ability to think laterally;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills enabling liaison at all levels of the organisation;
  • Must be willing to relocate and reside in the Goldfields region for this residential site;
  • Current, unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class manual drivers licence.

Preferred:

  • Project management and contract management experience;
  • Knowledge of corrosion technology and civil/structural repair methods;
  • Familiarity with the Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations;
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards, MSIR, Cyanide Code;
  • Knowledge in structural stress analysis software, such as; Space Gass, MicroStran, AutoDesk, Autogas, Inventor or SAP2000;
  • Proficiency in conducting failure analysis and the use of root cause investigation techniques.
