We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner (Electrical) to join our asset management team. This is a permanent, full-time position at the Leonora Operations. Your focus is to provide effective and responsive electrical maintenance planning support to Leonora Operations in order to safely achieve the equipment availability and asset utilisation necessary to meet annual production targets.

This opportunity is a permanent role and will be fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) from St Barbara’s Leonora Operations on a balanced 8 days on, 6 days off, roster cycle, flying on company time to and from Perth. You also have the option to drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) from Kalgoorlie.

The opportunity

  • Ensure your own health and safety as well as that of the other members of the Leonora asset management team;
  • Provide efficient and effective maintenance planning support to Leonora Operations to ensure that the operations can operate optimally at all times;
  • Assist in the procurement of resources, including parts and labour, ensuring availability for all scheduled electrical work;
  • Provide support to the asset management team in the development and implementation of assigned continuous improvement projects;
  • Establish and implement all electrical maintenance systems and schedules, practices and procedures for fixed and mobile plant and associated infrastructure;
  • Manage critical spares, materials, and inventory requirements for standard jobs;
  • Prepare and develop a weekly schedule for the electrical maintenance teams;
  • Ensure all statutory requirements of the role are met;
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out in an environmentally sustainable manner;
  • Contribute productively as a member of the Leonora maintenance team.

What we will expect from you

  • You should feel a strong alignment with St Barbara’s values as you will be required to live them. You will use our values, along with our five commitments, to guide your decision making as you work for the safety and well-being of our people;
  • You are able to produce a national police clearance (valid within the last 12 months) for site access purposes;
  • You have a current unencumbered West Australian ‘C’ class drivers licence;
  • At least five years of relevant work experience;
  • Strong ability to work effectively within a team;
  • Strong communication skills, including communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures;
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple tasks;
  • High level of enthusiasm for the work with high-performance goals;
  • Commercial acumen relevant to the role;
  • Relevant Trade Qualification desirable.
