Role Details:

Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking an Engineer: Mechanical Projects to join their Processing Department at Gruyere Gold Mine.

Reporting to the Superintendent: Projects, you will be responsible for the management of capital projects to the required safety, time, cost, and quality outcomes.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) from Perth or drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) from the Goldfields region.

Duties of the role:

  • Business Partner management;
  • Manage day to day activities of the projects team;
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates;
  • Generate “Application for Funds Expenditure” documents to approve capital funding;
  • Actively track project schedule and costs to ensure timely completion and compliance to budgeted expenditure;
  • Lead Management of Change for projects and provide regular communication updates to project stakeholders;
  • Undertake additional and alternative responsibilities as reasonably requested by the Superintendent: Projects.

About You

You will have:

  • BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Prior experience in engineering or project management in a process plant or mining environment;
  • Additional qualification in project management (highly desirable);
  • A strong safety ethic and the ability to positively promote safety;
  • Demonstrate application of continuous improvement ideas;
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels;
  • Valid drivers licence.
