This roster is 7:7 and a 12 hour day. This role is a residential position within the Parkes local area.

About the role

The mobile equipment maintenance (MEM) team provides dedicated 24/7 support for the operations team, ensuring that the equipment in their area of responsibility is always maintained in a fit for purpose state ensuring safe and efficient operation. The output of this team has a large effect on the performance of the Mining team directly linked to safety, costs and tonnes mined.

 

This role will ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe, professional and efficient manner in accordance with Evolution best practices to ensure benchmark performance of the Northparkes mining mobile fleet, whilst meeting key metrics and maintaining zero harm operations.

 

  • Ensure the MEM fleet maintenance is carried out in a professional and efficient manner following sound workmanship standards focused on quality of repair.
  • Full use of site work management systems capturing all required workorder repair detail, material usage and defect reporting data.
  • Communication with the MEM Team leaders and maintenance planners around planned maintenance changes as they arise and updating of planned maintenance documentation as required.
  • Perform quarterly and heavy vehicle inspections as required to ensure the standards stipulated for vehicle condition and performance at NPO are upheld.
  • Ensure housekeeping in all responsible work areas and when maintaining the mobile equipment fleet is maintained to the highest standard.
  • All maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with NPO site safety standards and procedures ensuring zero harm.

 

About you

  • Currently reside within the Parkes area or willing to relocate to Parkes.
  • Minimum of two (2) years post trade experience in a similar role within a mining or heavy industrial environment.
  • You hold at an Australian recognised Certificate III Trade Qualification with primary experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance.
  • Previous experience troubleshooting and technical diagnostics of underground equipment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Strong commitment to safety as a way of work
  • Current “C” Class Australian Drivers Licence
