Role Details:

Reporting to the Coordinator: Occupational Health and Safety, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the operation of OHS systems and standards.

This role is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and is fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) from Perth.

Duties of the role:

• Complete OHS activities via the compliance schedule to ensure compliance with OHS Management Systems Standards;
• Complete internal OHS audits and participate in OHS internal/external audits;
• Assist with health and hygiene monitoring and management;
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in communications and ensure sensitive information is kept secure;
• Build interpersonal relationships both internally and externally to facilitate the timely accomplishment of goals;
• Deliver site general inductions as required;
• Monitor action recording and closeout from incidents, investigations, audits, planned inspections, safety meetings and conduct action verification to the required standard;
• Keep abreast of any legislative changes;
• Participate in the Risk Management Process, conduct investigations as required and monitor incident reporting;
• Participate in the review and update of safety-related documents.

About You

You will have:

• A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or closely related field;
• Certificate IV Training and Assessing;
• Ideally qualifications as a Noise Officer and/or Surface Ventilation Technician;
• Investigation and risk facilitation experience;
• Demonstrated understanding and application of relevant legislation.
