Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL) is developing the high-grade Bellevue Gold Project in Western Australia. Following a Definitive Feasibility Study outlining a robust underground mining and onsite processing operation with industry stand out production, the site has commenced underground production and processing activities with planned financial and ESG metrics underpinned by the exceptional grade of the project.

The Bellevue Gold Project is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold and nickel producing district. The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and development of major gold mines.

The company has recently commenced underground production and processing activities, to become a Western Australian focused significant gold producer. Development of the Bellevue Gold Project is fully funded through to production.

The Planning Engineer is responsible for Short Term Planning Functions (Daily to Monthly) of the UG operations to meet all safety, production, and cost targets driven by the Quarterly mine plan and Annual Budget (2 yearly).

This position is offered on a full-time basis, working 12 hours per day on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster at our Bellevue Gold Project outside of Leinster WA.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Tracking and driving compliance to the 3 monthly mine plan on a weekly basis
  • Provide input into 3 monthly mine plan design as to align with the Quarterly mine plan
  • Design and communication of the 2 Weekly Mine plan with key consideration for eliminating safety risks with input from stakeholders (such as Geotechnical Engineering and Geology) to achieve the 3 monthly mine plan
  • Development design work required to meet the operational mining schedule, ensuring plans are completed with adequate consideration to ventilation, infrastructure, paste fill, and geological/geotechnical requirements and align to the 2 year mine design and schedule
    • Level Notes, Level Development Plans, Raisebore Designs
  • Completion of stoping designs (Stoping Notes) that maximise ore extraction and minimise dilution.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Production engineering team on design work
  • Scope and manage infrastructure projects (<$100k) such as dewatering, ventilation and power to align with medium and long term requirements
  • Providing input at Daily meetings to ensure safe execution of 2 weekly mine plans
  • Advising the Senior Mining Engineers of issues that may affect safe and efficient production through frequent communication in an appropriate manner.
  • Conducting Underground inspections and QAQC to ensure that mining activities are being undertaken in a safe manner and as per mine plan
  • Provide feedback throughout reconciliation processes in identifying potential areas for improvement and providing feedback to Guidelines and Designs for continual improvement

 

Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience/Competencies: 

  • A tertiary degree in Mining Engineering
  • Experience in mechanised UG mining
  • Completed UG practical experience required for WA FCMMCC
  • Deswik competency
  • VentSim competency (preferred)
  • Ventilation, project or infrastructure experience (preferred)
  • Short term scheduling experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management skills
  • Good interpersonal communication, literacy, numeracy and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
