ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance department is experienced and well-resourced to support the Edna May mill, a 2.9 Mtpa gold processing plant and they are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join the team. Working 8 days on, 6 days off, the team bus in and out from Perth in company time.

We have an established, comfortable camp in the regional Wheatbelt town of Westonia which provides access to a community swimming pool, local shop and fitness and gym facilities. The team have an authentic and welcoming culture, they enjoy their work and take pride in contributing to the success of the Edna May operations.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will:

  • Complete work orders, directions and tasks assigned.
  • Follow instructions within Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
  • Assist other Departments as required.
  • Employees shall carry out after hours work as required.
  • Keep the Maintenance Superintendent aware of any risks.
  • Use your time efficiently and have a friendly demeanour.
  • Risk Management processes are conducted daily.
  • Corrective and preventative actions are implemented and effective; and
  • Faults and irregularities are resolved if within capabilities.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we would like to see:

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • A working and technical knowledge of process plants and related practices.
  • Forklift (Worksafe High Risk Work Licence).
  • EWP (Worksafe High Risk Work Licence).
  • Skid steer and integrated tool carrier (IT) licences.
  • Working at heights and confined space qualifications.
  • A West Australian C class driver’s license (manual) and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance purposes.
