Northern Star Resources are searching for a Senior Geology Technician to join the field leadership team at our Thunderbox Operations. This is a site-based position working on 8/6 rotation FIFO ex Perth.

 

What you can look forward to:

  • Supervising the performance of field exploration activities including surface geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys, coordinating earthworks and rehabilitation, cadastral surveys and other forms of mapping 
  • Field surveys for environmental and heritage clearances 
  • Management of field consumables, equipment, and supplies 
  • Team management including, rostering, leave, performance reviews, skills development and disciplinary action. 
  • Ensuring staff competencies and compliance for training, VOCs, and procedural development 

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring

 

Expertise and Accomplishments:

Candidates should hold have at least 5 years of direct experience in an exploration technical capacity, leadership experience in relevant field exploration and in mine exploration activities, sound knowledge of GPS operation and navigation, high computer literacy and in-depth knowledge of core processing from drill rig to lab.
