Are you a highly motivated Senior HR Business Partner who is comfortable with the autonomy and responsibility that comes with being the sole HR practitioner for a key mine site, but also thrives in collaborating with a broader People and Capability team to leverage the support and team focus that it brings?

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner who can effectively partner with business leaders in delivering a positive and engaging employee experience. 

This critical role is a permanent site based position, it is based on a FIFO roster that strikes a good work life balance with a 4 days on (Mon – Thu) and 3 days off roster per week from Perth.


Reporting to the Perth based HR Manager, key tasks of the role include:

  • Partnering with people leaders and delivering trusted advice on HR related matters, including coaching and mentoring
  • Guiding and advising managers on our core people initiatives such as performance, retention and career management to future proof and build organisational capability
  • Recommending and implementing strategies and programs to develop a positive culture that is aligned to our values and expected behaviours
  • Lead and support change management programs critical to the delivery of the HR strategy and aligned to new systems, processes and ways of working
  • Provision of advice and support on HR issues to ensure compliance with company, legislative and statutory requirements
  • Supporting line managers in management of performance, disciplinary processes, and grievance resolution
  • Providing HR coaching, advice, policy and procedure interpretation
  • Driving organisational effectiveness solutions and initiatives that will contribute to building a high-performance culture


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 5 years’ HR generalist experience preferably within an industrial or mining environment
  • Current knowledge of applicable Australian state and federal employment legislation
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • A practical, can-do approach with the ability to build credibility and influence both management and employees     
  • Ability to use initiative and adapt to change
  • HR Qualification
  • National Police Clearance
  • Permanent work rights in Australia
  • You must be able to provide a COVID-19 Digital Certificate or current Immunisation History Statement showing vaccination against COVID-19 or that an exemption to vaccination has been granted and recorded on the Australian Immunisation Register.
