This roster will be 8/6 DIDO or Residential.

About the role

Under the direction of the Metallurgical Superintendent, the Senior Metallurgist is responsible for monitoring and optimising metallurgical performance of the Processing Plant. You will also be responsible for providing coverage for the Metallurgical Superintendent and Plant Metallurgist as required.

Your responsibilities, however not limited to will include:

• Monitors and optimises plant performance to reduce processing costs, increase plant efficiency and increase throughput
• Maintain and update the Metallurgical Accounting System
• Supervise and support Plant Metallurgist and Site Laboratory Staff
• Complete scheduled tasks in a timely manner with appropriate prioritisation of work
• Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within
• own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution
• Work within and comply with the Evolution Mining and CGO site-specific safety and health
• management system
• Understand and comply with requirements of environmental approvals and relevant
• environment, health, and safety legislation
• Understand and support the CGO environment management system
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Mineral Processing
• A minimum of 5 years plant operating experience with exposure to comminution, flotation, leaching and adsorption, elution, and cyanide destruct desirable
• The ability to communicate effectively and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Sound technical experience and the ability to contribute to team discussions and provide information when required
• Identify opportunities for improvement through improving work practices or procedures
• Observation and Interpretation of plant data and trends
• The ability to prioritise and meet or exceed deadlines
• Written and oral presentation skills
• Excel, Word and PowerPoint capabilities
• The ability to accurately test work procedure and development as required
• Identification of bottlenecks and challenges in process and add solution suggestions
• Demonstrated leadership experience at a Senior level advantageous
