We are now seeking an Underground Mine Surveyor to join our Underground Survey team.

Accountable to the Senior Mine Surveyor, this role is accountable for managing and performing surveying activities to enable the efficient and safe achievement of targeted mine production.

This role is based at the Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or Kalgoorlie.
 

Accountabilities:

  • Taking an active approach to safety to ensure you and your team is in line with the company’s values, policies and procedures
  • Extension and verification of UG & surface survey control network using Leica instruments to exceed regulatory accuracy requirements
  • Scheduling and prioritising survey tasks liaising between technical departments and mining contractor.
  • Performing surveying activities necessary for the safe achievement of targeted mine production of underground development, production and drilling.
  • Regularly updating mine models, void scanning and end of month process for reporting
  • Using various forms of spatial data to create plans and reports for UG mine advancement
  • Be an active team member contributing to business unit for delivery on critical tasks

 

About You

  • Diploma of Mine Surveying certificate or higher
  • While not essential some underground mine Surveying experience will be highly regarded
  • Ability to work in both team environment and autonomously
  • Familiarity with the latest Leica survey equipment
  • Very good practical, planning and prioritising skills combined with the ability to build on the experience gained
  • Current C Class driver’s licence
  • A National Police Clearance
  • Permanent work rights in Australia
