The fixed plant maintenance team at St Ives have an opportunity for a Boilermaker to join their team.

Role Details:
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Leading Hand, you will be responsible for providing quality and timely preventative mechanical maintenance and repairs for the mining department and other areas of the operation as required.

This role can be offered as residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie on an 8 days on & 6 days off roster. Bus transportation is offered to and from site for residential candidates and relocation assistance will be offered to the successful candidate if required.

About the role:
•    Ensuring the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by practising preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of mining equipment.
•    Supporting the efficient operation of the production facilities by providing reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge, expertise and practical application, to minimise down time.
•    Maintaining a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures and ensure that these are consistently adhered to when carrying out maintenance tasks;
•    Completing all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders and recording of labour time;
•    Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping throughout the maintenance workshops and wherever maintenance work is carried out;
•    Training of apprentices when required

About you: 
•    Australian Trade Qualifications in Fabrication/Boilermaking, welding with inner/outer shield welding wire. 
•    Competence with arc air gouging and lancing(desirable)
•    Valid WA C Class Manual Drivers Licence
•    Truck HR class would be advantageous but not essential 
•    Previous experience working within Surface Fixed plant infrastructure maintenance environment is essential. 
•    Be able to work from drawings and design fit for purpose projects.
•    Coded Welder Qualification, Crane, Dogging, EWP, Working at Heights, Forklift tickets and a Senior First Aid Certificate is advantageous
•    Ability to work within a busy team as well as autonomously
