Position: Communications Supervisor

 

Work Location: Jundee Operations

 

Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off – FIFO ex Perth

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Develop and execute all project work relating to communications and related infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support and advice to operations.
  • Provide support to continuous improvement and continuous development for all team member.
  • Technical reference point and mentor to personnel within the department.
  • Work with vendors to develop solutions and seek resolution to complex communications problems.
  • Assist in the development of operational and functional procedures related to systems within your area of responsibility.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

 

Experience:

  • 2-way radio troubleshooting and programming.
  • Vehicle proximity systems.
  • Citect SCADA systems.
  • Schneider control systems.
  • Satellite television/digital systems.
  • Motorola TRBONET Digital Radio System.
  • VHF and UHF communication systems (leaky feeder).
  • IP Network planning and configuration.
  • Microwave and/or satellite communications links.
  • Troubleshooting complex electronic circuits.
  • Wattmeter’s, Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, OTDRs Fusion Splicers, Oscilloscopes and Multi-meters.
  • Terminating, Cat5, RJ11, Coax, Fiber (Fuse on Connectors) and D-Shell Connectors.

Qualifications:

  • Cert III in Electronics and Communications or equivalent.
  • Restricted Electrical Licence and Registered Cabler License (endorsed Co-axial, Fibre and structured cabling).
  • Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
