Role Details:

Reporting to the Underground Eelctrical Coordinator and working within a group to implement and maintain Goldfields Innovation & Technology pipeline projects.

This is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off roster and is FIFO from Perth, or Residential to Kalgoorlie or Kambalda.

Duties of the role:

  • Routine inspections of machinery and fixed plant and carry out preventive measures and condition reporting.
  • Fault-finding, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of the communications networks. Experience using Spectrum Analyzer and OTDR necessary.
  • Design, repair, and Installation of communications equipment: 4G LTE, MW network links, Leaky Feeder, Fibre Optics, Structured Cabling, Wenco fleet management and collision awareness system
  • Programming Motorola Digital Radios and Repeaters.
  • Commissioning of new communication technology introduced to the site.
  • Recording all relevant information into goldfields CMMS- AMT/SAP as required.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment

 

About You:

You will have:

  • WA “A” Class Electrical Workers License – Highly Desirable
  • Current manual C Class Driver’s License
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in radio communications, telemetry networks and maintenance in surface and underground mining environment
  • Open cabling ticket with fibre endorsement, structured cabling and coaxial is desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Communications and or Instrumentation is desirable
