Role Details:

Gold Fields Australia are currently accepting applications for Electrical Engineering Vacation Students across the Gold Fields Australia Operations over the December/January/February University break.

Safety is a core value at Gold Fields, and we expect all levels of employees to always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of our company.

The roles are available on a 3-month contract basis and are offered as either a 10 day on 4 day off fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) ex Perth or a 5 day on 2 days off Residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie roster.

Throughout your time on-site, you will have access to highly experienced and knowledgeable technical professionals who will expose you to various aspects of our diverse mining environment. We will assist you with building highly sought-after skills to gain confidence with your experience in a safe, challenging and rewarding working environment.

Key factors to your success include:

  • Current C Class WA Drivers Licence;
  • Currently in the 2nd Year onwards of a relevant discipline;
  • Exposure and/or experience in a ,ining environment would be highly regarded;
  • Prior work experience of 12-hour shifts would be advantageous to your application;
  • Prior work experience using safety procedures would be essential/beneficial;
  • Familiarity with working in a remote location under extreme weather conditions;
  • Ability to follow instructions, pick up new tasks/software systems and work in a team environment.
