Tradesperson – Fixed Plant Mechanical

As a Tradesperson – Fixed Plant Mechanical at Northern Star, you will be responsible for working with the maintenance team to ensure that all mechanical maintenance activities (break in’s, follow-up work, PM’s, planned work etc.) are performed in a safe, timely, professional, and effective manner. You will be required to work with the team and provide technical advice, support and mentoring as required. You will be expected to participate and/or provide feedback in the continual improvement of systems and procedures employed by the Department.

** This is a residential role based at our KCGM Operations on either a 5/2/4/3 (10 hour) roster, or 7/7 (12 hour) roster. The successful applicant will reside in the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region. **

Required skills and experience:

·        Relevant Trade Qualifications.

·        Experience in a mechanical maintenance environment in mill processing facilities (preferably 2 years minimum).

·        Sound understanding of mechanical process

·        Experienced with crushing and milling equipment, centrifugal pumps, (Warman in particular).

·        Experienced in preventative maintenance systems.

·        Experience in the generation of Job Hazard Assessments (JHA’s) and safety observations

·        Work safely and not create or ignore hazards.

·        Read and interpret technical reports.

·        Current “C” Class Western Australian Driver’s License.

·        Must reside in the Goldfields region – KCGM is a residential mine site
