We are now seeking a Permits to Work and Isolation Officer to join our Processing team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Accountable to the Processing Superintendent.

This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day operational management of the permit to work (PTW) & Isolation system, ensuring employee awareness of requirements and operational procedures.
  • Use P&ID and Electrical Single line drawings to create and maintain equipment isolation lists
  • Develop, issue and apply PTW packages and Isolations for fixed plant infrastructure and equipment
  • Manage the PTW office and isolation equipment required to execute PTW and Isolation requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate work, in accordance with PTW & isolation requirements in accordance with:
  • Weekly maintenance and production plans
  • Project improvements and plant upgrade plans
  • Major Plant shutdowns
  • Identify, manage, and implement opportunities to improve the PTW and Isolation functions
  • Provide technical support, training & assessment in appropriate use of the PTW and Isolation system.

 

About You

  • Previous experience in utilising a PTW and isolation system – Desirable
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessing – Desirable
  • Proven operational experience within a fixed processing plant environment
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to give clear and concise instructions.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to liaise with people across all levels within the organisation
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project (desirable)
  • Current C class driver’s license
  • A National Police Clearance
  • Permanent work rights in Australia
