Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL) is a high-grade gold mine in Western Australia. The Bellevue mine has a forecasted 10+ year mine life producing over 200,000 Au Ozs for the first five years of production. Construction of the mill has recently been completed, with first gold pour completed in CY Q4 2023.

Underground mining has occurred since late 2020 to establish multiple mining fronts that de-risks the project in advance of underground production. The operation is an industry stand out with strong financial and ESG metrics underpinned by the exceptional grade of the project.

The Bellevue Gold Project is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold and nickel producing district. The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and development of major gold mines.

The focus of the site services electrician is to provide electrical support to the site services teams and assist in carrying out routine maintenance tasks, statutory checks, and repairs on all site surface infrastructure including the village. While ensuring operational targets are met in a safe, environmentally compliant and efficient manner.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the efficient operation of the Village and site services by providing electrical support and knowledge, expertise and practical application, to minimise down time and subsequent loss of production.
  • Ensuring the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by applying effective preventative maintenance practices through scheduled inspections, adjustments, and timely repair of equipment
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures and ensure that these are consistently adhered to when carrying out maintenance tasks.
  • Demonstrating full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management Systems by developing and participating in initiatives, toolbox meetings, investigations, training, assisting with the implementation/contributing to audits.
  • Ensuring work practices and the place of work are maintained, by evaluating associated risks and hazards of each task prior to the commencement to ensure safe working environment and the utilization of correct equipment.
  • Reporting all safety hazards, environmental hazards, incidents, damage, breakdowns and potential plant or equipment stoppages to a direct Supervisor or area Supervisor as soon as is practicable.
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping throughout the maintenance workshops and wherever maintenance work is carried out, to contribute towards a safe work environment, efficient operation of the facilities and to reduce the risk of incidents or injury and the existence of potential hazards.
  • Completing all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders, recording of labour time, etc. through the efficient utilisation information management systems.
  • An on-call component as required.

Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience/Competencies:

  • Electrical Workers License.
  • Previous mine site experience.
  • Manual C class driver’s license.
  • Crane, Dogging, EWP, First Aid and Forklift tickets are desirable.
  • Well-developed time management and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong, logical problem-solving skills
  • Immunisation against Tetanus and Hepatitis A& B (or willingness to obtain)
