Tradesperson – Electrical – Leading Hand

The Tradesperson – Electrical – Leading Hand will be based at our Kanowna Belle Operations.  This role reports to the Electrical Supervisor, and the primary purpose of the role is to carryout and direct maintenance activities on all Fixed Plant Equipment, as directed, in a safe and efficient manner, whilst adhering to Company Standards, Policies and Procedures.

 

***This is a Kalgoorlie residential position based at our Kanowna Belle Operations on an 7/7 (12 hour) days only roster***

 

Qualifications Required

 

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current Western Australian A Grade Electrical Licence
  • Low Voltage Rescue
  • Provide CPR
  • Provide First Aid
  • Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence

 

Desired Experience & Competencies

 

  • Experience in the mining industry, 4 years minimum
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and controls
  • Ability to act as step-up for the Electrical Supervisor on an as required basis
  • Ability to lead a team of electricians in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting Rockwell PLC Systems.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends or overtime as needed.
  • WAE100/200 In-House Electrical Nominee
  • High Voltage Switching Operations Certificate
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations.
