Tradesperson – Fixed Plant Mechanical (Kanowna Belle)

As a Tradesperson – Fixed Plant Mechanical at Northern Star, you will be responsible for working with the maintenance team to ensure that all mechanical maintenance activities (break in’s, follow-up work, PM’s, planned work etc.) are performed in a safe, timely, professional, and effective manner. You will be required to work with the team and provide technical advice, support and mentoring as required. You will be expected to participate and/or provide feedback in the continual improvement of systems and procedures employed by the Department.

** This is a residential role based at our Kanowna Belle Operations on 7/7 roster working 12 hour day and night shifts. The successful applicant will reside in the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region. **

Required skills and experience:

• Relevant Trade Qualifications.
• Experience in a mechanical maintenance environment in mill processing facilities (preferably 2 years minimum).
• Sound understanding of mechanical process
• Experienced with crushing and milling equipment, centrifugal pumps, (Warman in particular).
• Experienced in preventative maintenance systems.
• Experience in the generation of Job Hazard Assessments (JHA’s) and safety observations
• Work safely and not create or ignore hazards.
• Read and interpret technical reports.
• A demonstrated ability to work on a continuous roster will be highly regarded
• Ability to provide a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical
• Current “C” Class Western Australian Driver’s License.
• Must reside in the Goldfields region – Kanowna Belle is a residential mine site
