Role Details:

Reporting to the Superintendent: Projects at Agnew, you will be responsible for the coordination of capital infrastructure related projects including construction, installation, repair, improvement, movement, decommission, and demolition of facilities and associated underground infrastructures. To meet current and anticipated capital project demand in accordance with Gold Fields standards while maintaining compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements.

This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off Fly in Fly out roster from Perth.

About the role:

  • Proactively seek stakeholder engagement for all projects, and effectively communicate relevant information.
  • Scope and generate project schedules, and actively track projects to ensure completion within set time frames.
  • Solid organizational skills including multitasking, time management, procurement management, and delivery of projects to engineering standards.
  • Actively track project costs to ensure compliance to budgeted expenditure.
  • Proactively manage Business Partners and Contractor groups while promoting safety
  • Technical report compilation including preparation of engineering drawings packs, ability to interpret drawings, preparation of contractor’s work pack, detailed job plans, ITR, ITP, CCC, and general project progress reporting.
  • Budget and forecast expenditure and analyse project risks and opportunities.
  • Enhancing the capability of the business to achieve improved performance and growth by actively contributing to business and cultural improvement initiatives, encouraging team members to participate, and identifying barriers to goal achievement.

 

About you:

  • Post graduate qualifications in engineering /trade qualification, and/or project management is desirable.
  • Competent in Microsoft office suite, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to deliver projects from concept to delivery.
  • Proven experience in a similar role in an infrastructure project mining environment is desirable.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and unsupervised.
  • Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas
  • A valid Driver’s Licence
