We are now seeking a Warehouse Officer to join our Supply Chain team at Tropicana Gold Mine.

Working as part of a friendly and tight-knit team, this role provides assistance to the Warehouse Coordinator and Senior Warehouse Officers in the operation of the Warehouse function on site. You will help to deliver an efficient warehousing and logistics services as well as monitor inventory at the mine site.

 

This role is offered on an 8/6 FIFO roster with flights directly to site from Perth or Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities:

 

  • Assisting and maintaining effective housekeeping and security within the warehouse environment
  • Conduct daily warehouse inspections and pre-starts on LCs, forklift and truck
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for the development and review of operating procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments associated with the warehouse facility
  • Monitor warehouse stock levels ensuring they are at appropriate levels for continuous operations and expediting inventory shortages if required
  • Assist Warehouse Coordinator in monitoring effectiveness of tasks within the warehouse and liaising with team members to identify areas for improvement
  • Organise and store inventory in an appropriate location to facilitate easy put-away and retrieval taking into account manual handling risks and other hazards
  • Contributing to achieving zero reportable incidents

 

About You

  • Previous experience within a supply / warehouse environment on a mine site in a fly in fly out basis
  • Sound written and oral communication skills, good organisational skills and a good level of computer literacy
  •  A strong desire to succeed with a demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
  • A Self-Starter with an ability to also work effectively within a team environment
  • Knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system
  • Forklift license, WA high risk license (LF)
  • A current Western Australian drivers license, minimum MR unrestricted license
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • Existing and ongoing permanent work rights in Australia are mandatory
