About the role

The Lead Hand Mobile Maintenance role offers an opportunity to take the next step in providing hands on leadership while supporting the coordination of daily activities. You will be responsible for ensuring work is competed safely and efficiently. This role is to recruit for a vacancy.  

The roster will be 14 days on and 14 days off (12 hours). Whilst residential is preferred, the role is also open to FIFO and DIDO, with access to our camp accommodation. 

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $125,000 to $155,000 CAD.

Key result areas will include:

• Lead, direct, promote and encourage the team to set goals and work to accomplish them.
• Plan and coordinate work while developing and scheduling preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform job task observations and planned inspections.
• Provide necessary safety equipment in accordance with conditions of work and ensure all work is carried out in a safe and proper manner within government regulations and company policies.
• Provide input on assigning and managing tasks.
• Inspect and report on work done by external contractors.
• Conduct regular safety inspections.
• Ensure that a safe and productive atmosphere is maintained with both production and mechanical department, extending full support.
• Assimilate and comprehend issues that directly effect and contribute to the welfare of the Mine Production.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

As a Lead Hand Mobile Maintenance, you will have successful completion of a post-secondary Heavy-Duty Mechanical or trades and/or apprenticeship leading to certification. You must possess a valid Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate or equivalent.

It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:

• 5 years’ experience in a relevant industrial field.
• Demonstrated ability to produce reports and set up plans.
• Familiar with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants.
• Sound working knowledge of computerized maintenance systems.
• Solid comprehension and ability to interpret technical language.
• Strong ability to work with prints and schematics.
• Contributes to overall team success.
• Good communication and verbal skills.
• High comprehension and ability to comprehend and read technical drawings.
• Ability to coach and mentor others.
• Competent computer skills and able to adapt quickly.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills, including planning and scheduling abilities.
