Technician : Boilermaker

Gruyere Gold Mine is in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Gruyere was commissioned in 2019 and is one of Australia’s largest and lowest cost gold mining operations boasting a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile more than 10 years.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Supervisor: Maintenance you will be responsible for providing quality and timely preventative mechanical maintenance and repairs of the processing department and other areas of the operation as required.

This role is offered as 8 days on 6 days off roster Fly in Fly out from Perth, on a 12-month Fixed Term

About the role:

• Contribute to the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of processing equipment.
• Completing all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders and recording of labour time.
• Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping throughout the maintenance workshops and wherever maintenance work is carried out.
• Maintaining a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures and contributing to improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Australian Trade Qualifications in Fabrication/Boiler Making.
• Welding competency with inner/outer shield welding wire, and competent in arc air gouging and lancing.
• Valid WA driver’s licence – Truck MR/HR, F class would be advantageous but not essential.
• Previous maintenance experience in a process environment is essential.
• Coded Welder Qualification, Crane, Dogging, EWP, Working at Heights and Forklift ticket are advantageous.
