What’s the opportunity? 

This is a unique opportunity to step into a key finance leadership role at Ernest Henry Operations on a fixed-term basis until January 2028. Working closely with senior leaders and operational stakeholders, you’ll gain exposure across the full financial cycle while driving strong governance, commercial outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business and influencing strategic outcomes.

Based at our Ernest Henry Operations and reporting to the Manager – Commercial, you’ll:

• Lead site finance activities and support the day-to-day coordination of the finance team
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and end-of-month reporting processes
• Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and challenge cost performance
• Drive cost improvement initiatives and support capital planning activities
• Review and approve capital expenditure requests while maintaining strong financial governance
• Coach and develop financial capability across the operation.

Does this sound like you?  

You are a commercially astute finance leader with a strong ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and translate financial information into meaningful business outcomes. You enjoy working closely with operations, thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about driving performance.  Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business
• CPA, CA or MBA qualifications (highly regarded)
• Experience in a finance or commercial leadership role
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting capability
• Experience within mining, resources or another heavy industry environment
• Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• The ability to engage, influence and build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
