These are two of Western Australia’s premier gold operations, with ongoing investment and exploration taking place across both open pit and underground operations at each site.

 

The Opportunity

 

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitters to join our Maintenance team at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, reporting to the Supervisor – Mechanical Maintenance.

 

This role operates on an 8/6 FIFO roster, with direct flights provided to site from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

 

About the Role

 

  • Carry out maintenance tasks in the mill area as directed by the Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Maintain crushers, conveyor systems, pumps, pipework, ball mills, concentrators, vibrating screens and feeders, cranes and hoists, cyclones, and all associated tanks, launders, and steelwork. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, fitting, machining, preventative maintenance, inspections, and fabrication.
  • Carry out mechanical maintenance tasks across other site areas, including the Accommodation Village, Mine, and Bore Fields.
  • Be available to work night shifts on a rostered basis to respond to equipment breakdowns as required.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of shutdown activities.

 

About You

 

People are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. You’ll bring a strong mix of technical know-how and practical experience to the team. To be considered, you should have:

 

  • Current trade qualification as either a Fitter and Machinist or Welder, with proven fitting experience.
  • Experience in the maintenance of mineral processing or heavy industrial plants, preferably within the gold mining industry.
  • Ability to work in environments with noise, dust, elevated work areas, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, water, and slurry.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled workforce.
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
  • Current WA Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Existing and ongoing permanent working rights in Australia (mandatory).
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
