We are looking for a Geologist to join our Growth Department at our KCGM Underground Operation.

 

Reporting to the Senior Geologist, this position is being offered as a residential role on an 8/6 11-hour per day roster. Offering a dynamic and rewarding work environment in one of Australia’s premier gold mining regions.

 

 

What you can look forward to:

 

  • Utilise your analytical and technical expertise to accurately assess and interpret geological data from core samples.
  • Supervise drilling contractors and provide expert guidance to maximise project efficiency and discovery.
  • Be the gatekeeper of our geological data, ensuring that all drilling results, core logging, and laboratory analysis are accurate and reliable.
  • Rock-solid foundation: Possess a fundamental understanding of geology and its processes, with a strong grasp on rock types and mineralogy.
  • Data detective: Ability to analyse and interpret geological data effectively using advanced software and tools to unlock the secrets hidden beneath the surface.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • A tertiary qualification (minimum degree level) in geology.
  • 2+ years of experience as a geologist in the resource industry.
  • Experience with mining and geology software packages such as Datamine, Leapfrog and Acquire.
  • Ability to work well in a team, including Contractor Management (analytical assay and drilling).
  • Must reside in the Goldfields region, or willing to relocate for our residential world-class ore body.
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Manual Drivers Licence.
