Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

We’ve boldly reimagined our future at Mungari. We’re growing and investing in what’s ahead. There’s now an opportunity for an experienced HD Fitter who wants to grow with us and play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our underground mining fleet. This role is for a hands-on maintenance professional who takes pride in safe, high-quality work and wants to help keep our operation running at its best as Mungari continues to build momentum.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be a key member of our Maintenance team, applying your mechanical expertise to support safe and efficient underground mining operations.

Based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the maintenance supervisor, you’ll:

  • Maintaining, servicing and fault-finding on underground mobile mining equipment.
  • Diagnosing, reporting and resolving equipment defects to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability.
  • Working actively within site safety, hazard management and compliance systems.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and workshop performance.
  • Maintaining high environmental standards and safe work practices at all times.
  • Collaborating with operators, supervisors and fellow tradespeople to achieve operational targets.

Roster: 7:7 roster, 12-hour days. Residential Kalgoorlie or FIFO from Perth.

Why Mungari Operations?

Mungari is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio, with a mine life to at least 2038. It’s operationally diverse, with opportunities to work on the surface or underground and a great team of people who care. Our recent expansion of the processing plant has more than doubled processing capacity from 2 million to 4.2 million tonnes per year. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.

What suits your lifestyle best? We offer drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) and fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) rosters at Mungari. You choose. Live local in the world-class mining community and enjoy our competitive live-local incentives and allowances. Or choose FIFO and enjoy the camaraderie and benefits that village life offers.

The future here is bright; you could be part of it.
