Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking an Operating Systems Superintendent to join the Business Improvement Team in the Australasian Operations Department.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Manager of Business Improvement, the position is responsible for the technical direction and leadership of several key Operational programs, including the Management Operating System (MOS), supporting the annual Business Process Review and introducing sophisticated analytical tools to ensure improvement activities are focussed on the highest value opportunities. The role works closely with Perth Technical and Site teams, providing hands on support and delivering project work as required.

About the role:
Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of Gold Fields and ensure that the company Values and Vital behaviours are adhered to at all times;
Manage the Management Operating System program. This includes the ongoing review and improvement of the MOS standards across Gold Fields mines and functions;
The development and delivery of MOS training appropriate for different areas and levels of the business;
Establish an effective method to benchmark and communicate best practices (internal and external) and use to drive improvement across the business;
Support the Business Process Review activities across operational sites and help identify Business Critical Initiatives;
Lead Asset Optimisation and improvement projects as required;
Regularly interact with Site Leadership Teams and the Operations Leadership Teams.
About you:
Demonstrated experience in development and management of Management Operating Systems & Business Improvement Programs
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a mining related role(s) – preferably having spent time in leadership roles
Demonstrated capacity as a systems and process thinker
Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
Previous experience in group facilitation and hands on delivery of training
Experience in leading programs across multiple work fronts is desirable
Ability to use a range of Microsoft software and advanced reporting tools.
