About the Role

The Mill Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation of Evolution Mining Red Lake’s processing plant. This posting is intended to attract candidates for all Mill Operator levels, from entry-level operators through to advanced and Control Room operators.

Working as part of the Processing team, you will operate, monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and optimize mineral processing circuits including crushing, grinding, gravity concentration, flotation, thickening, filtration, reagent systems, tailings, water treatment, and control room operations based on your training and qualifications. Operators are expected to progressively develop their technical skills and advance through the Mill Operator progression framework while contributing to safe and reliable plant performance.

This position is part of a continuous operation and works on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, including day and night shifts. This is a residential role based in Red Lake, Ontario.

Compensation is dependent on Mill Operator Level but could range from $84,000 to $120,000 starting salary. 

These are replacement positions.

Key Result Areas

• Safely start up, operate, monitor, and shut down processing plant equipment and systems within your area of responsibility.
• Monitor plant performance, process parameters, and equipment condition to maintain production, recovery, and quality targets.
• Perform field and control room duties, including equipment inspections, sampling, process adjustments, and data recording.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and take appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.
• Conduct routine housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the plant.
• Identify, report, and proactively address safety hazards, environmental concerns, equipment defects, and operational risks.
• Participate in inspections, preventative maintenance activities, lockout procedures, and equipment isolations as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, reliability, recovery, and cost performance.
• Assist in training and mentoring team members while actively participating in personal skills development and progression through Operator levels.
• Communicate effectively with operators, maintenance personnel, supervisors, and other departments to ensure safe and coordinated plant operations.
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation, and commitment to achieving our goal of zero harm.
• Comply with all federal and provincial legislation, site procedures, environmental requirements, and company standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
