Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL) is a high-grade gold mine in Western Australia. The Bellevue mine has an estimated 10+ year mine life forecast to produce ~150,000 Au ounces in FY26.

Underground mining has occurred since late 2020 to establish multiple mining fronts that de-risks production with exploration potential expected to grow the current high-grade resource.

The Bellevue Gold Mine is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold and nickel producing district. The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and development of major gold mines.

Bellevue Gold has the ambitious goal of net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the Bellevue Gold Project by 2026. This will be underpinned by a sector-leading renewable energy power station, with a forecast 70-80% renewable energy penetration rate.

The role has a dual purpose of both providing support to exploration targeting and field programs, as well as advancing the knowledge of the Bellevue ore bodies, driving improvement through specific projects. The Project Geologist will develop processes and good practice in different areas, aligning with industry best practice. Exposure to the different facets of geology including Exploration, Database and technical roles will be essential. The roster for this role is 8 days on 6 days R&R.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Implementation of in-mine, near mine and regional exploration programs. Activities will include but not be limited to: mapping, sampling and supervision of drill programs; inclusive of sampling and assay protocols.
  • Conducting geological interpretations and developing applicable exploration targets, including updating geology maps, regional structural models, summary geology reports and presentation material.
  • Developing and maintaining geological models using software such as Leapfrog, and QGIS.
  • Collaborating with fellow geoscientists, project managers, client representatives (drill contractors, laboratories and other contractors) and stake holders.
  • Geological logging and sampling of AC, RC, and diamond drill programs.
  • Field Mapping and data collection where possible.
  • Effectively communicating exploration outcomes through the compilation of technical reports on exploration activities.
  • Full compliance with all DEMIRS requirements around tenements, POW, rehabilitation, and heritage policies.
  • Ensure the maintenance and implementation of the safety management plan and compliance with all BGL systems of operation.
  • Understanding the impact of Heritage on exploration.

 

Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Degree qualified in geology
  • Previous experience in geology with some exploration experience preferable
  • Proficient in Leapfrog, QGIS, and MS Office Suite
  • Proficient in technical writing, reporting and communication of technical data to relevant parties as required
  • Experience in remote field settings across WA or similar terrains
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Effective project management, time management, and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks
  • WA Manual drivers licence
  • S26 qualification desirable
  • 1st Aid training and 4WD experience desirable
