The opportunity
Due to business expansions, opportunities have become available for motivated Underground and Surface Mine Surveyors who wish to expand their career to join our progressive technical team at our Duketon operations.

Working FIFO from Perth, you will be responsible for all survey requirements associated with mining operations and exploration general surface surveys.

Your duties will include but not be limited to: 

  • Carrying out all set outs, pickups and mark-ups as required for mining;
  • Ensuring pits and waste dumps are constructed to design parameters;
  • Drilling and blasting pattern designs;
  • EOM pickups, volume calculations and reports;
  • Prism monitoring – installation, maintenance and reporting;
  • Grading control surveys;
  • Maintaining all survey equipment;
  • Providing technical support, assistance and advice across other departments as required; and,
  • Working with team members to ensure that safety, business and production targets are achieved across the operation.

About you:

  • Tertiary Qualification – Surveying;
  • Open and un-restricted WA Class C manual driver’s licence;
  • Open-pit mine surveying experience;
  • Ability to work as part of a small team;
  • A focus on safety and environmentally friendly practices;
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills;
  • Competent in Surpac surveying software essential;
  • Authorised Grade 1 Mine Surveyor’s Certificate (WA) – required;
  • UAV experience – Desirable;
  • Trimble GPS and total station experience – Desirable; and
  • Underground experience – Desirable.
