As our Senior Underground Geologist based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the Superintendent you’ll:

• Influence underground mining decisions by providing trusted geological guidance that supports safe and efficient production.
• Help unlock the value of the orebody through geological interpretation, grade control and resource development activities.
• Build capability within the team through coaching, mentoring and day-to-day leadership of underground geologists.
• Drive confidence in geological outcomes through quality data collection, drilling programs and robust QAQC practices.
• Work alongside passionate mining and technical professionals who value collaboration and shared success.
• Contribute to the ongoing growth of a long-life operation where your ideas, experience and initiative can make a real impact.

Mungari is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio, with a mine life to at least 2038. It’s operationally diverse, with opportunities to work on the surface or underground and a great team of people who care. Our recent expansion of the processing plant has more than doubled processing capacity from 2 million to 4.2 million tonnes per year. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.

This position is on an attractive 8:6 roster, working 12-hour days. You can choose to FIFO from Perth or live residentially in Kalgoorlie, relocation within Australia will be supported.

Does this sound like you?

• 6+ years’ experience in underground mining and exploration geology (gold experience will be highly regarded)
• Enjoys mentoring and supporting the development of others
• Confidence working with geological data, grade control, and modelling
• Exposure to drilling programs and contractor management
• Familiarity with 3D modelling software
• Communicates well and builds strong working relationships across teams
• Takes ownership of their work and follows things through
• Values safety and doing things the right way
• Current Manual Driver’s Licence and Australian working rights.
