Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) is transitioning from explorer to producer and our Youanmi Gold Project is gaining attention as one of Western Australia’s emerging high-grade gold developments.

The Project is advancing rapidly following completion of our Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), successful equity funding and first underground portal fired in late 2025. We have recently secured $350 million in committed debt facilities and Youanmi is now fully funded through to production, with first gold to be poured in mid?2027.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mine Geologist – Underground to join our site-based team on an 8:6 FIFO roster at the Youanmi project, located approximately 480 kilometres northeast of Perth, Western Australia.

Reporting to and supported by the Mine Geology Superintendent, you will be responsible for underground geological production and drilling activities as the project progresses through to production, whilst working closely with mining Technical Services teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality geological outcomes as the operation transitions to full-scale mining.

This role suits a motivated and experienced senior underground geologist looking to progress their professional career within a collaborative and progressive environment at one of the most exciting gold development projects on the ASX.

What you’ll do

  • Lead daily geological activities to ensure accuracy of daily tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of ore movements and grade control activities.
  • Manage a team of geologists and technicians to ensure optimised performance and strong team culture within the geology team through proactive contribution to continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Ensure accuracy of geological mapping and sampling of underground development through effective mentorship and leading by example.
  • Maintain and constantly improve the geological and mineralisation interpretations and grade control model estimations.
  • Ensure underground drilling programs are optimised and accurate schedule maintained to work in seamlessly with production requirements and schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure operational alignment with company objectives and ESG commitments
  • Work closely with Technical Services to optimise ore extraction, minimise dilution, and deliver accurate production forecasts
  • Coordinate with the Metallurgical team to manage stockpiling and blending strategies that maximise gold recovery and throughput
  • Support training, development, and engagement initiatives within the mine geology team
  • Compile timely geology, production, and safety reports
  • Assist with geological budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning
  • Actively participate in safety observations, hazard identification, and continuous improvement of site safety culture

About You

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in an underground gold mining environment
  • Experience working within contractor?operated mining settings
  • Proven capability in geological modelling, ideally using Leapfrog Geo
  • Background in Resource and grade control modelling, with a solid understanding of estimation workflows
  • Proficiency with 3D mining software (Datamine and/or Deswik preferred)
  • Track record of coordinating and scheduling multiple drill rigs effectively
  • Well?developed contractor engagement and management abilities
  • Advanced analytical, planning, and reporting skills, supported by extensive use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity and QAQC standards
  • Good grasp of structural geology and its application to underground gold systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of estimation parameters and Resource estimation practices
  • Familiarity with JORC compliance requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • Current WA C?class manual driver’s licence

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Geology or equivalent
