We are currently seeking a Ventilation Engineer to join our Underground Mining team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Reporting to the Senior Specialist – Ventilation Engineer who will support underground mining operation through ventilation designs, plus managing and monitoring ventilation systems.

This role is based at our Sunrise Dam site on an 8/6 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities:
 

  • Monitor the underground ventilation system to ensure a safe working atmosphere for all employees.
  • Audit ventilation infrastructure to ensure compliance with approved ventilation plans.
  • Prepare and distribute ventilation plans.
  • Provide ventilation specific input into mine plans and schedules.
  • Complete statutory ventilation surveys of the primary and secondary networks.
  • Manage the secondary fan register and arrange for maintenance and change-outs as required.
  • Assist with underground infrastructure and projects work as instructed.
