Norton Gold Fields Pty Ltd is one of Australia’s largest domestic gold producers, with annual production of more than 178,000 ounces. The Company has a mining and processing complex in Western Australia’s world-class Goldfields region, including a highly prospective tenement package of 1,092 km² surrounding the 3.3 Mtpa Paddington Mill.
Norton, the owner of Paddington operations, has been a fully owned subsidiary of Zijin Mining Group since 2015. Zijin as owners has reinforced the local employment model by moving the Norton corporate headquarters and all corporate staff positions including the CEO, to Kalgoorlie in the 12 months following the acquisition.

The site is located 35km north of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in WA. Norton Gold Field’s Paddington Operations are proud to have a residential workforce for our own employees and encourage our major contractors to do the same. Most Norton employees live in the Goldfields and want to see Goldfields communities to flourish.

Employment Programs
Graduates
Norton Gold Fields offers a graduate program that focuses on building technical skills through on-the-job learning and coaching by subject matter experts. The Graduate Program is a two-year development journey, where each graduate will be assigned a mentor and each member can expect to undergo formal and informal training to develop their technical, managerial and administrative skills.
The Graduate Program streams (disciplines) include: Environmental Science, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Human Resources – Generalist, Mine Surveying, Mining Engineering, Occupational, and Health & Safety.
Eligibility criteria includes: recently completed bachelor degree issued relevant to the role by a recognised Australian university, and entitlement to work full-time in Australia.
Ideal applicants would possess: good academic standing, excellent problem solving and research skills, excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication and ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
