Westgold operates three major mining centres in the Central Murchison Region of Western Australia, which are fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) from Perth or drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) from eligible areas.
Westgold’s overall business has two main pillars being the gold operations in the Murchison region of Western Australia and its specialised wholly-owned underground mining services group, Westgold Mining Services.
The Company is a member of the Australian ASX 200 list and trades on the Australian Securities Exchange with the ticker ASX: WGX.

Cue Gold Operation
The Cue Gold Operations (CGO) are located around the regional town of Cue in the Central Murchison region of Western Australia. The processing hub in this region is the 1.2 – 1.4 mtpa Tuckabianna Plant. The CGO as a regional project covers the historic mining centres of Big Bell, Cuddingwarra, DayDawn, Tuckabianna and Pinnacles and includes two of Australia’s most prolific past producers in the Big Bell mine (2.6 million oz) and the Great Fingall mine (1.2 million oz).

Meekatharra Gold Operations
The Meekatharre Gold Operations (MGO) are located around the regional town of Meekatharra in Western Australia. MGO comprises the Bluebird CIP processing plant and associated infrastructure including a 350 person workers village. Bluebird is located in the centre of the groups Murchison holdings and hence being the largest and lowest cost of the ground processing facilities can take ore feed from any of the region’s mines. At the core of the MGO output is Paddy’s Flat underground mine which Westgold has been operating for four years. Two other underground mines operate at MGO being the South Emu-Triton underground mine at the Reedy’s gold mining centre and the Bluebird underground mine at Yaloginda just 1km south of the Bluebird Plant.

Fortnum Gold Operations
The Fortnum Gold Operations (FGO) are located approximately 150km northwest of Meekatharra in Western Australia. The core of the FGO is a 0.9 million tonne-per-annum carbon-in-leach (CIL) plant, a 175-person village and all the typical plant and infrastructure required to operate a remote FIFO site. Fortnum mining output is currently dominated by the Starlight underground mine which produces at a rate of approximately 600,000 tonnes per annum.

Working closely with a registered training organisation, fixed plant trade apprenticeships are available within Westgold’s three commissioned plants. Opportunities extend to those entering the industry for the first time as a school leaver, mature age applicants and qualified tradespeople looking to upskill and / or achieve a dual trade status.
