THE ROLE

Applications are sought from experienced Fixed Plant Boilermakers to join the team at Ora Banda.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Ensure that all tasks are performed utilising work practises that will provide safe working conditions for all employees and that will not jeopardise the safe operation of plant & equipment
  • Perform a ‘Hazard Analysis’ for each task so as to identify and eliminate associated risks before commencing work
  • Perform the required Welding and Fabrication tasks so as to maximise the availability of the plant & equipment thus ensuring production targets / schedules are achieved as required, at a reasonable cost
  • Implement requests for new installations or modifications as required
  • Completes all work-order paperwork in a complete and legible manner for maintenance planning data collection requirements
  • Assist other maintenance personnel in their day-to-day tasks as required
  • Adhere to environmental procedures to ensure good housekeeping, resource conservation, spill prevention and the appropriate disposal of wastes
  • Respond to the needs of the operations outside of normal business hours
  • Effective handover to back to back Boilermaker

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Trade Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ in a similar role in a mining environment
  • The ability to work in a safe manner
  • Possess good organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
  • Has a high level of attention to standards and detail
  • The ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
  • Is highly motivated and pro-active with a positive attitude
  • Extensive experience with fixed plant mining equipment
  • EWP and forklift tickets (desirable)
  • Computer literacy skills (Pronto highly regarded)
  • Industry certificates, including High Risk Work License, Elevated Work Platform, Forklift (LF), WAH and Confined Spaces desirable
  • A current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
