About the Opportunity

This is not a traditional P&C role sitting on the sidelines.

As a Business Partner – People & Culture at Ernest Henry, you will be embedded on site, working side-by-side with leaders to navigate complex people matters, lift capability and influence real outcomes.

You will provide practical, balanced and commercially sound advice, with a strong focus on employee relations and workplace investigations. You’ll be confident stepping into challenging situations, assessing risk, and leading thorough investigations.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with leaders to guide and support people decisions and outcomes on site
• Leading and supporting employee relations matters and workplace investigations with a firm but fair approach
• Providing coaching to leaders on performance management, conduct and capability uplift
• Interpreting and applying enterprise agreements, policies and IR frameworks
• Driving continuous improvement in P&C processes and ways of working
• Playing a key role in supporting cultural uplift and change initiatives on site
• Collaborating with your peers to drive consistent business partnering, whilst embedding continuous improvement in P&C processes and ways of working.

About You

You’re a confident and grounded P&C professional who thrives in an operational environment and is comfortable working where decisions matter.

You bring strong experience in employee relations and workplace investigations, with the ability to assess situations objectively, ask the right questions, and navigate complexity with sound judgement, all while maintaining trust and credibility with both leaders and employees.

Ideally, you’ll also bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of IR frameworks and enterprise agreements
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• The ability to influence, coach and support leaders at all levels.

This roster is 8/6 and is a 12-hour day.
