What’s the opportunity?

As an Electrical Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability of underground mining infrastructure and equipment across Northparkes Operations. Working as part of the Electrical Maintenance team, you’ll perform planned and breakdown maintenance while supporting safe and efficient underground operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and repairing underground electrical infrastructure and equipment
• Supporting underground communication systems, including leaky feeder networks
• Conducting fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance activities
• Working on HV and LV electrical systems across site
• Assisting with shutdowns, installations and improvement projects
• Contributing to equipment reliability and maintenance best practices
• Maintaining a strong safety culture and complying with site procedures

This position is offered on a 4:3 or 7:7 roster.

You are a safety focused Electrician who enjoys working in a challenging underground mining environment. You bring strong troubleshooting skills, a practical approach to maintenance and a commitment to keeping critical equipment operating reliably.

You’ll bring:

• Electrical Trade Qualification and NSW Electrical Licence
• Experience in mining, heavy industry or a similar operational environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• HV Qualification highly regarded
• A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
