Role Details

Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking a Payroll Supervisor to join the Perth HR Team in the West Perth Office.

Reporting to the Unit Manager: Remuneration & Benefits, you will provide an efficient, accurate, and timely payroll service to Gold Fields Australia employees and contribute to the continuous improvement of the payroll team.

This role is offered on a 10-month Fixed Term contract and is available on a Monday to Friday working week, however flexible work arrangements will be considered.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Overseeing the efficient delivery of payroll payments to GFA employees by providing leadership and support to the payroll Officers and site HR teams.
  • Complying with all legal, statutory obligations, and audit controls for HR/Payroll processes such as PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and other third-party payments.
  • Performing monthly and fortnightly reconciliations of payroll and associated clearing accounts and provide pertinent information to the Finance Department.
  • Reviewing and maintaining the integrity of HR/Payroll and Org Management data in SAP and SuccessFactors.
  • Developing and facilitating SAP HR/Payroll and SuccessFactors Employee Central training to all GFA HR personnel, payroll personnel, and site administrators through on-the-job training on-site, mentoring, and support.
  • Regularly analysing the effectiveness of SAP HR/Payroll and SuccessFactors Employee Central functionality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement through review of procedures, checklists, forms, user manuals, etc. and updating or developing new documentation as appropriate.
  • Developing and maintaining HR/Payroll reports in SAP SPINIFEX Reporting Tool for all the reporting requirements.
  • Coordinating configuration of SAP HR/Payroll transactions and wage types, and where possible configure new wage types in-house.  Perform user acceptance testing of configuration undertaken.
  • Facilitating internal, external, and SOX Control Audits within agreed timeframes.

Key factors to your success include;

  • Experience in the SAP HR/Payroll Module is essential
  • Previous experience in a Senior Payroll Officer position or similar is essential
  • Experience with Success Factors Employee Central, electronic pay slips and/or Spinifex reporting tools is highly desirable
  • Intermediate to Advanced level in Microsoft Office Excel
