Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

Help shape the future of one of Australia’s most technically advanced block cave operations. As our Mining Engineer – Studies, you’ll contribute to underground mining studies that support future growth opportunities at Northparkes. Working across concept, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, you’ll provide technical input into ventilation planning, mine design and strategic mine planning activities that directly influence long-term development decisions.

Working a 5:2 / 4:3 residential roster in Parkes, NSW, you’ll enjoy a great lifestyle balance while contributing to projects that will define the future of the operation. With ventilation forming a critical component of upcoming expansion studies, you’ll work closely with technical specialists to assess ventilation strategies, develop mine designs and evaluate scenarios that support safe, practical and sustainable growth.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you’ll:

  • Contribute to ventilation planning and assessment activities that support underground growth and expansion studies.
  • Develop mine designs and schedules that help evaluate future mining opportunities and operational scenarios.
  • Prepare technical analyses and study outputs that inform strategic mine planning and development decisions.
  • Collaborate with geology, geotechnical, ventilation and operational teams to deliver integrated study outcomes.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports and recommendations that support investment and project evaluation activities.

Why Northparkes Operations?

Big things are happening at Northparkes. With our E22 Underground Project underway, we’re entering an exciting phase of growth that will underpin an extended mine life underground. This is your opportunity to be part of a career defining project, build new capabilities and contribute to one of Australia’s most exciting block cave development projects. At Northparkes, you don’t have to choose between a great career and a great lifestyle; you’ll get both. With flexible work options, opportunities to grow and a team that cares, this is where your bright future starts.
