Role Details:

Be involved in the expansion of the Gruyere operation from the first stages. You will contribute to the achievement of safe delivery of the mining operations plan through the provision of a comprehensive survey control, guidance, and reconciliation service. Be an active team member, undertaking field survey services using GNSS, laser scanner and UAV data capture platforms, and maintaining an accurate and effective data management system.

About the role:

  • Help establish new satellite pits, and provide guidance on best practices in survey system installation
  • Meet company and statutory surveying compliance requirements through the regular capture of physicals and the preparation of high-quality reports.
  • Set out designs, record and maintain accurate “as built” for infrastructure
  • Contribute to achieving mining production targets by delivering a timely comprehensive survey control service
  • End of month surveys and reporting
  • RPAS surveys to ensure currency of site surface model

 

About you:

  • Formal qualification in Surveying (Degree or Advanced Diploma)
  • An Authorised Mine Surveyors Certificate Grade 1 or 2 (WA), or the ability to obtain, will be highly regarded
  • Manual driver’s license
  • Demonstrated experience in open pit mine surveying, with some exposure to construction being beneficial
  • Experience in the use of DJI RPAS with remote pilots’ licence (RePL)
  • Experience with Deswik, Pix4D, DJI Terra, Globalmapper and PointStudio software applications highly regarded
  • Understanding of Trimble GNSS
