Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL) is a high-grade gold mine in Western Australia. The Bellevue mine has an estimated 10+ year mine life forecast to produce ~150,000 Au ounces in FY26.

Underground mining has occurred since late 2020 to establish multiple mining fronts that de-risks production with exploration potential expected to grow the current high-grade resource.

The Bellevue Gold Mine is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold and nickel producing district. The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and development of major gold mines.

Bellevue Gold has the ambitious goal of net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the Bellevue Gold Project by 2026. This will be underpinned by a sector-leading renewable energy power station, with a forecast 70-80% renewable energy penetration rate.

To lead the Survey team and manage all survey functions, enabling mining operations to be conducted safely and efficiently, particularly in proximity to historic mining voids. Reporting to the Underground Manager, this role provides professional support, technical leadership, and strategic direction to Senior Surveyors and Mine Surveyors, ensuring the adoption of industry best practices and the maintenance of accurate, auditable records.

The role operates on a mixed roster of 8 days on/6 days off and 4 days on/3 days off (or 8/6 variant) and requires consistent supervisory presence across panels, including onsite attendance and statutory responsibility for End?of?Month activities.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assume the statutory role of Authorised Mine Surveyor for Bellevue Gold Mine.
  • Lead and manage the End?of?Month survey process, including onsite EOM presence and statutory sign?off.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safe work systems, survey procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain the integrity of Survey Master files, void records, and the underground void model.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to Senior Surveyors and Mine Surveyors, including support toward Authorised Mine Surveyor qualification.
  • Supervise all site survey activities to support achievement of mining and production targets.
  • Produce mine plans and survey documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure emergency plans are current, compliant, and accessible.
  • Manage the survey department budget, equipment procurement, maintenance, and calibration.
  • Drive innovation and implementation of spatial and mining technologies.
  • Provide operational survey coverage during leave periods and assist with other survey duties as required.

 

Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying
  • WA Authorised Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency – Grade 1
  • Extensive experience in a mechanized hard-rock underground mine, surface mining experience desirable
  • Understanding of Survey requirements in Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022
  • Possess strong leadership skills and safety-focused attitude
  • Extensive supervisory experience
  • Competent in Deswik Survey
  • Good skills in spreadsheet, presentation, word processing and database applications
  • Current C Class WA Driver’s License
